The Kings X1 Punjab came into Night Edition of IPL. the franchise is jointly owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, Wadia Group scion Ness Wadia, Dabur’s Mohit Burman and Karan Paul. The team plays its home matches at the PCA Stadium, Mohali. Since the 2010 IPL, they have been playing some of their home games at Dharamsala as well.

The only consistent thing about Kings XI Punjab during their ten years in the Indian Premier League has been its inconsistency. The Preity Zinta co-owned franchise has also had far too many different captains in the last decade.

Kings XI Punjab has truly spend royally on their new player this time. The amount was astronomically Rs 67.5 crore and they are hoping that after spending this much amount of money, they will surely win.

They have retained only one player Axar Patel and went on to buy new 20 players. They bought some of the costliest players in IPL auction 2018. KL Rahul for 11cr and Jaydev undkat for 11.5cr, later on, they bought R Ashvin and Andrew Tye who get a hat-trick in last year IPL.
